Every study that I have read, and I have read quite a few, states that the gains made by children in Headstart and other comparable programs disappear by about the third grade. In other words, all that money is for nothing because by the time kids reach the third or fourth grade, any advantages of early childhood education are gone and the kids in those programs are at the same level as those without such “benefits”. Another CINO has to mouth the same platitudes as the left to avoid the wrath of the Main Stream Media.
