I use to manage a small apartment community in Indianapolis. An immigrant from Russia was being sponsored by a local Synagogue, and they agreed to pay his rent for one year. It was assumed that after a year, he would be able to get a job and pay his own way. The rent on his apartment was only $430 a month. Even in 1997, not a bad deal. He never got a job, and when he lost his rent subsidy, he received an eviction letter for non-payment of rent. The man came down to the office screaming and yelling. We could not FORCE him to move!! This man was obviously used to a socialist system. He acted like he was king of the world. How DARE we evict him. It was a lesson I wish every school child could have witnessed.

I apologize to America's young people, whose dashed dreams and dim employment prospects I had laughed at, believing these to be a direct result of their voting for Obama.

On closer examination, it turns out that young voters, aged 18-29, overwhelmingly supported Romney. But only the white ones.

According to Pew Research, 54 percent of white voters under 30 voted for Romney and only 41 percent for Obama. That's the same percentage Reagan got from the entire white population in 1980. Even the Lena Dunham demographic -- white women under 30 -- slightly favored Romney.
