That's a good point. She lacks the fundamental understanding that people are compensated for their value-add potential and their capability to negotiate. What she also critically lacks is the ability to articulate a fair solution, or indeed an underlying problem. These types of people like to spew things like the (generic) "I'm all for better stuff" or "We shouldn't be killing babies". They take little risk to understand the problem and present viable solutions.

Great point. I, as an example, am more focused on being the best I can be and, as a father and a 'boss', try to instill those skills in other by example as opposed to fiat.
You are reinforcing the entire point of the article. -Thanks

What if it were from some other reason than being drunk? Ban that? There's no logic here. Of course any one personal occurrence is of concern, but it's not necessarily cause to illegalize.

I didn't get the impression that she wants the capital gains tax increased in general, just for those whose occupation is solely based on the gains. The side effect, of course, will add hundreds of more pages to the IRS regulations. The better answer, IMO, is a flat-tax or fair-tax that could be implemented in a way to solve not only the current issues but also simplify the tax code. Aint gonna happen, not with the tax handling industry reaping $500B/yr
Technically, the rate increase is 3.7 percentage points. Piled upon a 36% rate, you are correct that the rate of increase is 10.2%. Most people are ignorant of this and the politicians choose their wording to minimize the impact of their destructive behavior.

Yes it is. I don't think any fan of this site supports that liberal hogwash. Moreover, it appears that you must have been a Bush supporter.

How ironic that the "MoveOn.org" crowd can't seem to, well, move on. If what you say is true, then I agree that these were bad policies. But..... how does this justify Obama's bad policies.
