Wow, one has to have their head clearly buried in the sand to see that Santorum is not the one. Hell he isn't even on the ballot in many places, how is that leadership? When will you wakeup and see that "defense of marriage" is a losing stance? We need to get government OUT of the marriage business and let whatever religious/secular body that a couple belong decide the marriage part. All the government needs to do is provide the legal contract between to consenting adults.

This is why the GOP lost in Hawaii. Too afraid to offer a robust defense of marriage, the Republicans went down to defeat against the Democrat candidate for governor who favored "gay marriage" but was wise enough not to talk about it during the campaign. Once elected and "gay marriage" was forced through, many folks here deeply regret voting for the Democrat.
The social issues are winning issues. The GOP ignores them at risk of losing. I suspect that "Mr Conservatarian" is no conservative but a raving liberal who'll will be thrilled to see Obama re-elected and libertine social policies kept in place.

In 2008 John McCain took the nomination to a less than enthusiastic response.  But when Sarah Palin hit the stage in Minneapolis, the roof nearly came off the convention center. The base was electrified.  One...
