There are a few subtle misunderstandings here about hell which will nullify some of the confusion. 1. The Greek word for "hell" means a hole in the ground, or burning trash pit. There is no place where people go to burn forever and be tortured. Those who are non-believers simply cease to exist, or go into the ground--hell. 2. We can thank Dante for all of the imagery of a burning, torturous hell with demons flying around. 3. Careful examination of Revelation will demonstrate that those who never knew Christ will have the chance to know Him and decide their fate after death. The idea that God just snuffs people out and sends them straight to hell is false. Thanks.
