Why Homeschooling is Becoming Hipster

One of the key differences between conservatives and left-liberals is that while conservatives recognize the hard truths about human nature they don't go around sneering at the vast majority of their fellow man as inferior, incapable, useless excuses for human beings who can't function without a government keeper.

Seriously, have you ever looked into it? It's NOT hard (as in difficult). It's not horribly time-consuming. There are amazing resources available. If you can spend 2-4 hrs/day at any time throughout the day, 3-5 days /wk, and you can read and process information at the 5th-6th grade level, you could home school.

Judging the vast majority of others as incompetent is certainly sneering.

The plan was to send me to public school. My mother enjoyed her job as an R.N. and was not bored. She was simply a creative rebel. And my father encouraged her to pioneer—because he believed in freedom.

My mother is a rebel with her own style. She once told me: “I never wanted to be like anyone else. I always did my own thing. But my...
