Global Warming Blame-ologists Play with Fire

You think that 400,000 years is significant when placed against the 4.5 billion year history of earth? Study geology. Learn something about the history of the earth beyond the tiny window of your preconceptions.

And the fact that this particular timing of cycles occurred over the miniscule time period of 400,000 years means nothing by comparison to the 4.5 billion year history of the earth.

"Periods of glaciation occur. Periods of warming occur. This happened long before humans appeared. Should humankind vanish it would occur after we are gone."

Perhaps you did not read what I posted

..glacials have been punctuated by interglacials, short warm periods which typically last 11,500 years. The current interglacial is about 12,000 years so we should start seeing cooling, not warming. But any cooling is being overwhelmed by the accumulation of CO2 in the atmosphere.

Yes, I did reference the fact that we're emerging from an ice age.

This is part of the earth's natural cycles.

Periods of glaciation occur. Periods of warming occur. This happened long before humans appeared. Should humankind vanish it would occur after we are gone.

The idea that humans could impose stasis on an inherently dynamic planet is hubris beyond compare.

It was you that made note of the last ice age, less than 15,000 years ago,
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Good news: The Waldo Canyon fire, which forced 32,000 residents (including our family) to flee, claimed two lives and destroyed 347 homes, is now 100 percent contained. Bad news: Radical environmentalists won't stop blowing hot air about this year's infernal season across the West.

Al Gore slithered out of the political morgue to bemoan nationwide heat records and pimp his new "Climate Reality Project," which blames global warming for the wildfire outbreak. NBC meteorologist Doug Kammerer asserted: "If we did not have global warming, we wouldn't see this." Agriculture Department Undersecretary Harris Sherman, who oversees the Forest Service,...
