Yes this is good news. When government union employees see that using government to steal for them results in getting nothing later, they'll no longer back more government deficit spending because it threatens their future. And rather than allowing theft to go unreported, they'll blow the whistle more often. That is, as long as government doesn't prosecute whistle blowers (something Obama and Democrats like to do, rather than prosecuting exposed thieves). Yes we have 2 classes in the US: those working for government who can break laws with impunity because other government employees won't prosecute them, and the rest of us who get the shaft and the bill.

When you see headlines like this: San Bernardino, California, Weighs Chapter 9 Bankruptcy, you know 100% without a doubt the city is bankrupt, and the only question pertains to the filing.

San Bernardino may become the third California city in two weeks to file for municipal bankruptcy protection, as it struggles with declining tax revenue, growing employee costs and ill-timed public-works projects.

The City Council is to consider authorizing the city attorney to file a Chapter 9 petition at a meeting late today, said Gwendolyn Waters, a spokeswoman. A decision was possible tonight, though unlikely,...
