Considering we've had gays for as long as humans, no legislation is going to change it. I much perfer the libertarian position that government shouldn't be involved in marriage. With no laws dealing with marriage (the expections involving children and divorce) then we wouldn't have these fights between those who want to outlaw homosexual marriage, vs. those who want it enshrined in law. Isn't the government playing favorites when it provides tax breaks or subsidies to those with children or who are married? Wouldn't it be better if government treated us as individuals instead?

Republican leaders have capitulated, pro-family pundits have caved, and gay activists have announced that their struggle for equality is just about over. Is it time for biblical conservatives to throw in the towel?

What a ridiculous thought. Why in the world would we do that?
