Please check your grammar, John. The first paragraph of the letter should read "its own police force" and not "it’s own police force." Also, my understanding is that the Postal Service is quasi-governmental; it's not completely a private business.

There is nothing quasi-governmental about the post office, it is COMPLETELY governmental. It is a lie when they tell you that they are self supporting and receive no tax money to fund operations. They have a massive credit line at the Treasury that they have now tapped out and have no means of paying back. Will the Treasury (meaning us, the taxpayers) get the money back when they go belly up? Where do you think the Treasury gets it's money from? From the taxes they collect from us and from the debt they go into that will have to be repaid from taxes collected from us in the future. Anyone who thinks we are not paying one penny in taxes to support the post office or that they are anything but a full agency of the US Government is delusional. They are playing a sleight of hand game to bilk the people out of more money while at the same time assuring them that all is well and far too many people in this country are falling for the con game.

That's the very definition of a Government Sponsored Entity.
