I used to wonder why more people are not outraged by the size of our national debt... now I realize it's a compound problem. 1. People are woefully uninformed. They do not do any reasearch, they tune out if facts are presented and they aren't entertained and they accept at face value statements by comedians and entertainers. 2. So many households are living with proportionally similar debts it is becoming a way of life. I want this; I have a credit card; I will buy this and pay for it????? Until we solve the problem of immediate gratification at a household level, we won't be able to solve it at a national level.

They're not outraged because most are clueless on balancing their own checkbook and half don't give a damn because they aren't paying taxes in the first place. This once prosperous nation is being sucked dry by parasites thanks to the democrat party. The dummies put a communist in the WH because they are both ignorant and greedy, ignorant of what communism is and greedy because most of his base think the rest of us owe them a living. Romney should have won in a walk and so should McCain 4 years ago...look at HIS record compared to the zero and it should have been a landslide..McCain should not have even had to HAVE a campaign considering the unqualified fool he was running against, that he LOST is a sad commentary on the people of the USA.
Congress returned to "work" this week (now there's a laugh) to complete its lame-duck session before taking another holiday. Spending other people's money is a taxing experience.

Their task is to avoid the "fiscal cliff," a geological construct of their own making. It doesn't take a genius to predict both parties will try to do two things: (1) reach an agreement that will allow each side to take some credit and (2) require those who work for a living to pay government more while they come up with phony, or inconsequential spending "cuts."

Whatever they do, payroll taxes...
