The oxycodone did not have any effect on Rush Limbaugh's hearing. Rather, it's most likely that he damaged his hearing while using Schedule III drugs like Loratab, Vicodin or Vicoprofen, with an NSAID or acetaminophen in high daily doses was responsible for his hearing loss.

I'm sorry. Pot has never been shown to cause schizophrenia! There is some question as to schizophrenia and early pot use having correlation, but not causality. Virtually all institutionalized schizophrenics smoke cigarettes, most likely because nicotine relieves some of the underactive cholinergic response seen in schizophrenics. Just because A and B occur together says nothing about whether A causes B or B causes A or neither; double blind studies are required for statistical causality to be determined within the agreed upon confidence interval.. And marijuana most definitely has medicinal effects including possible anti-cancer effects by activating NKC (Natural Killer Cells).
We know that George Washington smoked pot because he wrote in his diary that sexed his hemp plants and you don't sex your hemp plants to make rope.
These facts are absolutely true; if you ever have a chance to do a necropsy (an autopsy not done to determine cause of death) of a heavy pot smoker, you will find what looks and smells like bong resin in the brain, liver and some other fatty areas of the body as THC is so fat soluble that the body has trouble getting rid of it quickly, so if you smoke a lot each day, the cumulative amount in the fatty compartments continues to increase daily, But this does not mean that pot should be illegal because alcohol will kill you much quicker with daily use,
No one is suggesting non-smokers such as you, your children and I be made to inhale pot smoke in a closed room. You do not have to inhale second hand cigarette smoke (which by the way is carcinogenic and has statistics behind it), something much worse than pot smoke, (which, when pyrolyzed, probably is carcinogenic but has never been statistically supported, and if it is, it is likely far less potent a carcinogen than pyrolyzed tobacco.) So your argument doesn't hold up.
The only truly hard drugs are alcohol and tobacco if you go by number of deaths. Pot does cause dependency; however, it is essentially self-detoxing because of its long duration of action. If you give someone anadamide, 2-AG or a short acting cannabinol; or if you administer a CB-1 antagonist, you see rats/monkeys/people is withdrawal as severe as heroin withdrawal. But criminalizing marijuana does no good and just causes more problems.
In addition, the 21st Amendment Section 2 states: The transportation or importation into any State, Territory, or possession of the United States for delivery or use therein of INTOXICATING LIQUORS, in violation of the laws thereof, is hereby prohibited. The words INTOXICATING LIQUORS say nothing about alcohol and the scientific definition of a liquor is a plant distillation product. Therefore, morphine, codeine, cocaine, cathinone, THC, mescaline, DMT cannot be prohibited!
I believe that C sativa can also be used for hemp production but I am not sure; however, just as selective breeding have raised the THC content of C indica to levels as high as somewhere around 43-45% (which is the record in the DEA's Drug Information For Law Enforcement Professionals Handbook), most of the high quality C indica today is in the 20-23% range. This level was as low as 3% just 50-60 years ago.
Well, current technology allows us to narrow down last use of marijuana to within 48 hours based on the ratio of CBD to CBN to THC to 11-Hydroxy-THC. We do not allow people in certain jobs to drink prior to say, flying a plane, and you currently have no way of knowing if your surgeon smokes pot before the first incision.
