I honestly find this to be fascinating. In 2008 American Jews voted overwhelmingly for Obama, nearly the same sort of lockstep voting as we have been accustomed to seeing in American Blacks (and with the same self-destructive results, I might add). To see actual dissention amongst this very influential predominantly liberal voting block is a healthy thing for American Jews and for America as a whole.

DNC Chairwoman and Barack Obama mouthpiece Debbie Wasserman Schultz will no longer be giving a scheduled speech at the Trustees and Rabbis of Temple Israel in Miami this week. The president of the temple is citing "security concerns" as the reason for the cancellation, but outrage over her appearance is more likely to be the real reason for her being uninvited.

Miami's Temple Israel on Thursday canceled a program featuring Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz after a high-profile Republican donor quit the congregation to protest the top Democratic congresswoman's speech.
