The Pope and Godless Capitalism

The impoverished worker who chooses to work for low wages in a factory rather than live a life of starvation, theft, and child prostitution is making a good choice. Without "godless capitalism" that choice would not exist at all. A woman who chooses to sleep with her boss rather than find other employment is making a poor choice. To equate the two is fallacy.
If their shadows were white instead of black, they would.
Thank you, public schools, for making recruitment so easy for private schools. Your continued stupidity means guaranteed employment for me.

Hollywood and Post-Boston 'Xenophobia'

Excellent insight. It is not just the violent acts of Muslim extremists that make us distrust Muslims, but the cowardly silence of those who could and should condemn such acts. This is why when most of us hear the term "Religion of Peace", our internal Bovine Scatological detectors start ringing.
Excellent article. Rubio has damaged his otherwise promising political career by trying to strike a deal with proven charlatans. When it comes to Democrats in the Senate (and the vast majority of other places), there should be two rules of thumb: 1) Don't believe them. 2) Don't trust them.
If you watch the whole video in context, there is no doubt whatsoever that killing the baby is exactly what she means.
Again, Donald, you are woefully ignorant of a subject you say you teach. Operation Downfall had 2 parts: Olympic and Coronet. The entire operation was called Downfall. Please leave the teaching of history to those of us that actually know it.

This story will be all over the mainstream media outlets, right?
than by *not* dropping it.
You need to recheck your facts about Operation Downfall. There were several estimates about potential American casualties ranging from 100,000 Americans to 1,000,000, depending on the level of civilian resistance (Stimson's estimate assumed massive civilian participation). Given that the preceding battle for Okinawa had left 12,500 Americans dead and over 100,000 Japanese dead, a figure of 1,000,000 to take the whole of Japan does not seem ridiculous to me. To say that more Americans were killed by dropping the bomb than by dropping it is a lie. To say, as you did previously, that America had no purpose in dropping the bomb is a damned lie.
The seizing of Elian Gonzales was one of the worst incidents in a terrible administration. Thanks for the sober reminder.
