well, what happens then is these gun-criminals decide to shoot as many people as they can then shoot themselves to avoid the long sentences. Also who pays to incarcerate law-breakers? As for gun control, it is too late. There are so many guns out there, gun bans will not remove existing guns.

It seems as though real life examples of guns saving -- rather than taking -- innocent life go largely unreported (or flat-out ignored) in the mainstream media. Therefore, I have decided to post the following must-read story in its entirety (via Cameron Gray):
