my take is this, look at what's on the ballot, the dem's are united under 1 person. from the left of center to the uber progressive, they all vote for one. the republicans are split into tea party, libertarien, GOP'ers, mainstremers, right of center, as well as the religious right. eventhough Billy and the other pastors tried to rally their flocks, most voted a split ballot. THIS MUST END, WE MUST UNITE, because divided we fall everytime.
