If so, why vote for it? Because McConnell told him to? Does Lee represent Kentucky? Does he take orders from McConnell? Why did Boehner vote for it? And Ryan? Are we really going to blame this on the Dems? Did they force us to vote for this? If you are handed a long contract and told to sign and given only 6 minutes to read it, what would you do? What could go wrong, right? According to Utah Republican Senator Mike Lee, members of the upper chamber had -- at most -- six minutes to read the “fiscal cliff” bill before they voted on it. Little wonder, then, that the so-called “compromise” (save for a few silver linings) was in many respects a complete and total disaster (via Reason):
