If only we had a politician who when asked such a question could respond with a solid scientific argument for creation theory. I strongly suspect that if you turned around and asked the average reporter to summarize the evidence for an old Earth,h is answer would be limited to something on the order of "science says so". Demand that he get more specific and explain some actual evidence and I'm sure his response would be to dodge by insisting "all the experts agree" and the like, statements which are provably false. Most reporters knowledge of science is not science at all, but appeal to authority.

Their game is either to force Rubio to affirm a personal belief the earth is 4.5 billion years old—disturbing some of his religious supporters--or to mock and stigmatize him and others who could harbor any delusional...
