"The worst part about censorship... " Mr. Mike Adams is a criminology professor at the University of North Carolina Wilmington. Your expertise is criminology. Your expertise is not sociology, women's health/abortion, homosexuality, foreign policy or economics. Darling, you are entitled to your opinion. In my younger years I have dated a few cocky men like you Master Adams.

You know who else is not an expert on sociology? Sociologists. The professors in that field are the most universally liberal of any in academia, which is saying an incredible amount. The ratio of lefties to righties is around 12 to 1. ~40% of professors surveyed (in general.. the number is surely higher within sociology) *Admit* that they would discriminate against a conservative in the hiring process. The left doesn't trust Fox news, since most at the station are conservative. Understandable. They sure are quick to automatically dismiss any study of social issues that ends up corroborating a conservative view (particularly since homosexuality was removed from the APA's list for entirely political reasons in the early 70s).

So why should anyone trust a field that is made up of well over 90% liberals, who admit to hiring discrimination, and who control all the peer-reviewed journals and thus basically everything that becomes published as "social science"? No matter how neutral they try to be, if all of them are liberal, and they know that they can sway public opinion by fitting any data they find to their own narratives, can you honestly say that this collective would ever choose to publish against their own interests? Even if one or a dozen social psychologists is so absurdly ethical that he/she would publish findings completely against his/her ideology (doubly unlikely since bias also seeps into data interpretation), you can guarantee it would be..

..shut down at the peer review level. If you know the truth about sociology and psychology departments in the western world, the lopsided politics of the members, and their fierce loyalty to those causes, you'd realize this: No matter which side is more true, the conservative or the liberal perspective of human nature. The field as it stands now *can only display a liberal slant*. When the liberals are more right on an issue, they're trumpeting those truths. When the conservatives are more right, they're covering it up or twisting the data.

Uh, you do know modern criminology is a branch of sociology, right, cupcake? And that sociology's statistical methods are the same as those used in economics?

Basically, what you're saying is roughly along the lines of "Stephen Hawking's expertise is cosmology and astrophysics, not quantum physics, therefore he is isn't qualified to discuss whether black holes emit gamma rays" (look up "Hawking radiation").

Sweetie, you are also entitled to your opinion. And your younger years are far behind you, because it is only the truly old who talk about "when I was younger."

And the few cocky men you dated grew up and discovered what a real woman is.

Wow! So, by your logic only "credentials" matter and not the fact that over and over again, the UNCW campus gives him the fodder from which to gain some expertise. Perhaps you should look up the curriculum studied to gain that criminology degree....learning social and psychological habits of criminals is a tool that is used over and over. So smart are you, hmmm?

Who gave you the authority to determine what others may write about?

What degree or certificate do you have to prove your "expertise" in the art of determining who is authorized to express opinions on what topics?

I might know you. I was in Saigon in 1962, were you the girl outside of the Boom Boom club shouting sucki, sucki two dolla?

Miss saigon copy and paste the same comment on Adams' columns.

She is too dumb and to shallow to write anything with coherent thought.

Next time you say "this food is too salty",
someone should respond, "you are not a cook, what do you know about food?"

You are too dumb to show a flaw in Adams' argument, so you just question his qualifications.

How's this:
"Miss Saigon is not a political analyst.
Her expertise is in stupid-complaints.
In all my life, I have met few as stupid as her."

do you mean that teaching and discussing orgasm is promoting knowledge and can be called "education"? the poor kids do not know that the college is stealing their time and filling their brain with useless stuff instead of giving them a real value for their time. how sad.

You still haven't shown that he is wrong on censorship. But since I doubt that you have degrees in writing, journalism, broadcasting, publishing, I doubt that you are qualified as an expert on censorship using your standards.

Everyone believes in censorship. They only disagree about what should be censored. For example, you cannot yell "fire!" in a crowded theater when there is no fire. You may, however, yell "fire" when there is a fire.

"an opinion editorial is not the equivalency of a peer reviewed article."
I think you are the only one here who doesn't understand that.

"Your expertise is criminology. / Your expertise is not sociology"
He has a PhD in Sociology/Criminology. The two have enough overlap to be one department.

What are your qualifications? Let me guess: those with low SAT scores major in Education or something ending in "Studies."
The worst part about censorship is that there are college professors who are too stupid to know what it actually means, or worse, that sometimes pretend to be too stupid to know what it actually means. Censorship occurs when the government stops objectionable speech from being disseminated. It does not occur when the government refuses to actually subsidize speech that may be deemed objectionable. But sometimes professors and low-level college administrators pretend that refusal to fund government speech is censorship. They usually do this when the speech is so bad that no one else would ever subsidize it. So they adopt...
