God has the power to judge but does not have the power to save 20 children?

I can't imagine a more factually-challenged post. Do you actually think there were no crimes or suicides prior to 1970? Juvenile crime rates, by the way, have been declining in this country since 1992. And the divorce rate peaked in 1981 and has been declining ever since by about a third.

I have learned the hard way: Never trust a religious fundamentalist with the facts.

One would think that a society governed by Liberals, with their idea that there is no God, as we have been since the early 70's would have a better record of success.

Compare the leading cultural indicators of pre-1970 and post 1970. This means, things like: teen suicide rate, divorce rates, incarceration rates, prescription anti-depressant rates, murder rates, teen violent crime rates, etc.

Or where were the upright cut off?" Job 4:7

The Bible calls them "innocents". They are in a better place now and will not have to experience what is coming on the earth.
"No set of laws can eliminate evil from the world, or prevent every senseless act of violence in our society."

So said President Obama in words of comfort in Newtown. The president was right to speak of evil, but mistaken when he called the massacre "senseless."

For this was a premeditated and purposeful act of mass murder, and the devil that did it knew exactly what he was doing and why.

When he put four bullets into his mother's head while she lay in bed, Adam Lanza wanted her life ended along with his. When he headed for Sandy Hook Elementary,...
