Give it up - they see it as a mandate and there is nothing conservatives can do about it. The lazy moochers are now in the ascendency in the US and we are following the road of previous great powers. Conservatism is dead in the US - most people would rather just have the government give them everything they need. It's very sad but, Obama is right, he has a mandate from the people who can get out the vote.

When you talk about conservatives, I hope you are not referring to Republicans in either house of Congress. There are very few, if any, conservatives left in the party. At best, they are left-leaning moderates.

President Barack Obama won re-election tonight without winning as many electoral votes as he did the last time around after facing a serious threat because of his first term agenda. Now beware of people in the mainstream media proclaiming that there's some kind of "mandate" for Barack Obama to run with.
