First of all, it's MILT, not Mitt. I don't think Hannah nor I were dealing with stereotypes. I even pointed out what may be a negative stereotype in saying that SOME Jewish people I've known have been loud and pushy. We were both going on what our experiences have been. To answer your last question, stereotypes about any type of person can't be true or false. But it would be stupid for someone not to have some stereotypes in life. It doesn't mean you're racist. If I see three black guys in hoodies walking behind me on a dark street, I might stereotype. If one of them grabs my shoulder, I might get scared. If he says, "Excuse me sir, you dropped your wallet", and hands it back to me, all is good.

HOLOCAUST REMEMBRANCE DAY always falls during the week that follows Passover. At first glance, the two would seem to have little in common -- one memorializes the millions of European Jews annihilated by Nazi Germany; the other commemorates the deliverance of the Jews from slavery in ancient Egypt.

Yet for all their obvious differences, a fundamental similarity links these two crucial chapters in Jewish history. Both were attempts at genocide, and in both cases the perpetrators justified their savageries by claiming that they were the real victims, threatened by the people they intended to wipe out.
