Although I agree this should have been judged a case terrorism, I think Munley's case is suspect. She was clearly working for a private contractor, so she was not a member of the military. As such, She is not eligible for the Purple Heart (PH). As of 1997, no civilian employee, or contractor is eligible for the PH.
I have a suspicion that something else is going on with Ms. Munley and perhaps the others bringing this lawsuit. First, of course is the shark lawyer, egging them on. But, I think if we had any good investigative journalists left, they may find that after her heroic actions at Ft. Hood, she may have become too full of her hero status. Maybe pushing her private employer too far.

If she is so tough and heroic, why is she crying on every news show that just wants to see "the easy" story?
If she was so damned good, why did she get laid off?
There's more to her story than meets the eye, but no reporter is going to chase it because they're either too lazy, too politically correct, or for the conservatives, it serves to bash Obama, because he didn't do the right thing and call the Hassan shooting for what it was: domestic terrorism.
Anyway you look at it, we're not getting the real story, but some lawyers are going to get rich.
