MPP, Unfortunately, the officail Republican Party platform did state that abortion was unacceptable even in cases of rape and incest. Look it up, if you want facts and honesty. Even though I felt they had gone too far, and Romney chose to disagree with the party platform, it's still a fact. You're marginally correct, in that "legitimate rape" wasn't specifically addressed, but you're largely ignorant in not knowing that the official party platform opposed abortion under all circumstances.

Milt: This author was referring to "legitimate" rape, which was not a part of the platform but part of the smears that the low I.Q. trolls on the Left like to prattle on about. This kind of nonsense and false generalization has no place in a respectable publication. It is pure idiocy.

What should the Republican Party do now?

That’s the post-election question. Yet, not being a Republican, I figure I can only answer this question: What should the Republican Party not do?

Before the election, I would have answered, “Talk about ‘legitimate rape.’” Even now I suggest a short course for GOP candidates about rape, with perhaps a refresher on basic biology.

I’m serious. And I’m pro-life.

Now, after the election, an object lesson in what not to do rears its ugly head in the last place one...
