"focused on lying and slandering everyone who disagreed with his policies" And how are you different?

Alive: obviously, I’m addressing you. That’s why I wrote your name first. But if you are addressing me, on what do you base your accusations? I have not now or ever advocated what you claim. For that matter, I have never asked for courtesy either.

To whom are YOU speaking?

I owe no one courtesy who thinks that covetousness (of other's property), theft (of same) and slander (toward those who rightly believe that their property is theirs to dispose of as they wish, and not the government's) is a good way to go through life.

Calling a thief a thief isn't slander.

Dj: I think you don’t understand the point. You decry that Obama slandered everyone who disagreed with his policies and then went on to slander everyone who disagreed with your position. I asked how you different when you do that which you condemn?

Oh please. You proglodytes think that if only the evil rich would pay their 'fair share', then everyone would have everything, we'd all live forever, and all would be sunshine and lollipops.

It never once crosses your minds that perhaps Government is not usually
the first, best, or even last solution to life's challenges.

"And how are you different?"

Exactly. The hypocrisy among some of these "conservatives" is amusing. And they wonder why the rest of us tune them out.

dj: Hmm….perhaps I am. I keep forgetting that a thing is wrong only when the opposition does it, but when you do the same it is somehow different.

I am pointing out what should be are, I am supposing, one of the fools!

A regular reader e-mailed me the morning after Obama's election victory, "You should probably leave the country. best for all concerned. slam the door on yer way out."

I replied, "Saving the future of America has never been a sprint.... It's a marathon. It's not a movie; it's a soap opera. It's not bad enough yet for people to wake up to reality. You're stuck with me, like I am stuck with you. America now will get what it voted for. I pray that my assessment of our short-term future as a result of this election does not come to...
