Again it comes to this, “Think about polygamy, bestiality, and perhaps even murder”. I’ll grant that polygamy is certainly a possible outcome, but bestiality and murder? This leap of logic is so great a chasm that only a person devoid of any legitimate argument can make it. But let’s grant Reagan a little room and apply his religious based “argument” to a religion that believes in bestiality and human sacrifice.

and exactally how long ago was it that the furtherst thing from rational minds was government forcing you to accept same sex marriage as equal to traditional marriage. Once the door is open, it's hard to keep everything from coming in.

Mike: Actually no one is forcing anyone to accept anything and no one is forcing you to do anything. However there is no linear connection between same sex marriage and murder. To draw a line there must be a connection, like the rights of individuals. In that way, it could be argued that allowing interracial marriage did help to bring us here to this point.

Bestiality could easily be argued in our present irrational environment, and we already have human sacrifice - the religion is idolatry, which leads to sexuality severed from true religion.

O: I’m making a serious argument, it’s ok if you want to kid around; but do you actually have anything to add?

Animals aren't consenting adults.

And he is talking about human sacrifice as a criticism of Christianity?

Not a leap, friend. Over 1 million babies killed every year, because we worship our sexual impulses, and not the God of Abraham, Issac, and Israel.

O: Ok, the abortions are not a religious ritual, they are not done in observance to any religion and they are not held in reverence even by the pro abortion movement. While I’m sure there are some people who worship their sexual impulses, that is not why we have such a high number of abortions. I am now concerned that you are actually being sincere in your comments and will probably clog up the thread with inanities.

Sorry, but that is indeed your O'pinion

" because we worship our sexual impulses,"

Sorry, I must have missed it; "We" who?

You can’t win the fight if you don’t put on the gloves.

A punch-drunk, old heavyweight boxer knows that’s a truism, but not the churches of America.

The Supreme Court heard arguments this week on the constitutionality of California’s Proposition 8, which banned same-sex marriage in the state by a 52 to 47 margin in 2008 but has since been declared unconstitutional by federal courts.

Fox TV, Rush Limbaugh and other talk-show pundits have weighed in, arguing the conservative -- and moral -- position that sanctifying gay marriage with the grace of the U.S. Constitution is not...
