Romney did a lot good things as Gov of MA. Sometimes when you do things you have to do it doesn't get you re-elected. Romney did not run for re-election either. This years field was the worst in history, With exception to Romney... any of them would have finished much much worse. Romney nearly won... it was very close. John has no idea what he saying when he states it wasn't close. Romney missed by 300,000 and Obama only won by a thin razor margin in a few swing states.

Memorandum to the GOP: When running an election campaign it is often valuable to select a nominee who represents the rank and file of the Party. This is how other Parties do it. Perhaps you might get on board.
