"Cain can win; Paul cannot. Let Cain make Paul a cabinet member" How 'bout we create a czar of our own for the new conservative administration? Ron Paul would be ideal as the "Department Dismantler" Czar. Let him cut through the waste, dismantle the EPA, HUD, Fanny & Freddy, Dept of Education, and the other useless, non productive agencies. He'd be perfect in that role...oh, did I mention the NLRB as well?

"His 999 tax plan introduces a VAT tax and a national sales tax" You obviously have no grasp as to the stark (and undesirable) differences between a VAT and a flat tax, or in this case, the above-referenced 999 plan. A VAT is a garnishment on every single step of a commodity's production, i.e; a farmer is taxed on the corn he grows, then the product is taxed at the distribution point, then again at the market, then again when sold to the end user. Calling Cain's plan a VAT is like comparing a Cessna to a Boeing Dreamliner...because they're both aircraft. Come up with a better analogy. The left would LOVE to have Mr. Ron get the primary nod....they'd laugh all the way to the bank...

"Cain has no identifiable accomplishments" You smoking crack? A comparison of this man's resume/accomplishments to Obama's is even more fun than comparing Condi's to Hillary's prior to the 2008 race. This man is a leader, pure and simple. He knows how to foster working relationships...not divide parties. Bring it on, Herman. We're here for you.

Is Herman Cain a Contender

" we, as a country are beyond the point where we accept someone with a cursory knowledge of foreign affairs." So let me get this right...Economics experience...what we currently have a dearth of, is something that another candidate can seek out his/her advisers on--while foreign affairs is not? You can't have it both ways. Cain is the man for restarting our economic momentum due to his economic prowess...the other candidate would listen to their advisers on the subject. They might be sharper (initially) on world matters, but lack the economic experience...so people would say, "that's ok, they have great economic advisers..." Cain would be an expert on anything he needed to be in short order.
"Tea baggers are closer to Marxists than Obama" Lemme see...Tea Party is for constitutionally limited Gov't (Hal, that means SMALLER government), the unbridled Free Market, and fiscal responsibility. Yep, you must be right...we are indeed closer to Marxists than Obama...sheesh, do you ever listen to what you spew? And while we're at it...let me know why none of the Dems are for a balanced budget? Why would anyone be offended by those who would want to balance our budgetjQuery15206169724820647389_1312128676905 I am mystified.
A VOTE FOR BILDERBERG PERRY PROVES THAT AMERICANS ARE FOOLISH IN VOTING WITH THEIR HEARTS AND NOT THE FACTS. Will you get off of this lame "Bilderberg" crap? Take your tin foil hat off for a minute and think. You go ahead and vote for Ron Paul if you like...make a statement. The rest of us conservatives with half a brain will eagerly go with Perry. He is the only candidate fielded as of yet that will grab independents and conservatives alike...and blow Obama out of the water. Grow the hell up.
Renny, Good point:
"Remember, all these signs are HAND CRAFTED and look like it, with big scrawly letters and lopsided slogans and words that don't even fit their placards--unlike SIEU or NEA signs that are always perfect, because they are professionally printed."

I found out about the Sat 3/20 rally at the Capitol 8 PM Thurs night. An hour later I had ticket confirmed. 10 AM Friday I was on the flight from CA to DC. Arrived at the hotel, I located a Staples, walked several blocks, bought Sharpie felt pens & poster board. I spent a couple hours in my hotel room scrawling signs in my chicken scratch. I have never been to a Tea Party event. I am not a "member." Just a very concerned American who felt strongly enough to fly...
That, my dear Stacey, depends on who the thrower is. Most of us would much rather receive a slap in the face (figuratively,of course) by the likes of a Michael Moore than accolades by the same cretin. A shoe thrown at someone by, say Pelosi, would likely mean a vote from me for the receipient.

California's 20th Century Tax Plan

The common theme for a "fixit" in nearly all the comments I've read is "control the employee unions." This simplistic approach would, perhaps, work in a perfect world. I retired from a CA police department after 30 years. For that 30 year period I contributed 9 percent of my salary to Pub Emp Ret Sys (PERS). While unions are indeed a large problem...the larger and more immediate is the welfare mentality of this state...the entitlements, pork, illegal aliens (no, not "undocumented 'workers'")and handouts in general. We do not have a revenue problem, we have a spending problem. Sacramento loves to spend...we need to elect a governor who truly understands business & budgets...irrespective of what her past "vote light" record might be. ...
