How nice of you to run with the lowest number. By the way, how come ya never mention the GOP's 600+ billion stimulus they were going to pass? Keeping it a secret so you can get mileage outta bashing Obama for his? And the GOP's stimulus was right from the GOP's trickle-down playbook, meaning it was a rich get richer stimulus. As for your 1.3 million dollars per job created or saved, what a bunch of bull. Go look how that stimulus was broken down, it had healthcare coverage (COBRA) for people who lost their jobs. Unemployment benefits. Tax cuts. Money to keep the states afloat. That AMT tax patch, that's 60 billion a year. And a small part was infrastructure. When you add up the per person cost of those jobs, add in the infrastructure itself
This Govt. is going to rob us blind. Defense spending in 2001 was just under 300 billion a year. Now it's 1+ trillion a year with their bogus war on terror spending. And I heard that all cuts to Defense won't be cuts from the budget, they're going to make cuts to future increases in spending. And guess where they plan on getting the money to continue paying for their welfare warfare cash-cow? By robbing Social Security & Medicare - again. This article talks about Obama making the rich pay their fair share not making a dent in the budget. Well Ryan's country gutting budget leaves us with debt of 23+ trillion in 2021 - 10 years. That Pentagon-Pig will drive us to default. This Govt. needs to be fired. They're traitors - period!
I knew as soon as Obama gave that speech about taxes the lies would start pouring out. The Associated Press said only 1% of the 1400 people and households earning 1+ million a year didn't pay anything in taxes, and it's really all 1400 that made over 1 million paid zero in taxes. They give the impression that there's only 1400 people making over a million bucks in the U.S., and it's more like 235,413. And the 235,413? taxpayers who reported earning seven digits or more in 2009 took in a total of $726.9 billion. The top hold all the money. And of coarse they didn't mention those multi-nationals with their Double Irish & Dutch Sandwich tax schemes. They're robbing this country for billions every year. Go look up, Double Irish Wiki.
2 mistakes in my post below, it should be debt of 21 / 23 trillion by 2021, not 2011
Why is it that Republicans never see their side doing anything wrong? What, the GOP are allowed to play politics whenever they want, but the Dems aren't? And don't give me that ""but these are budget issues"" - it's only May. You've got more than a half a year to pass a budget. And after 30+ years of fiscal recklessness, the GOP don't have the right to preach to the quire. I saw a write-up yesterday that gave an outline of the Dems budget.. The House proposal added 7.5 trillion in debt over the next decade. And Obama's proposal was for adding 7 trillion in debt over the next decade. Now both of these are better than the Ryan / GOP budget, which add about 9 trillion over the next decade, and leaves us with total debt of 23+ trillion in...
