Dear Lilly, Your church is asking YOU to donate TIME and MONEY to help those that are less fortunate than yourself. I lost my job three years ago. I was lucky enough to find a non career job with the USPS. Every day I thank God for my good fortune. I also took a job with a local food chain to help make ends meet. What a awakening. New York State has a program called WIC. It stands for Women Infants and Children and allows for free food so this group of people will not starve. It is racked with fraud and abuse and we as tax payers are stuck with the bill. The poor cashier has to fight with the consumer over what they can buy and what they try to buy. I was taught that in an economic slow down that if you are working it's a recession. If you lose your job it becomes a depression.

Ok you are the parent of an anchor baby. Fine, stay and take care of your child, but at the time your child becomes of legal age it is see ya. You are being deported back to your own country. The anchor child can stay but you're going home. Have a nice life.

We have choices in this country. We can choose to have a cool cell phone service, great cable T.V.and a really hot car or we can downgrade or do without in order to buy healthcare. We can have the Cadillac of healthcare, Doctor, Dental, Eye Coverage Prescription or pay for only major medical. We can work a second job to pay for medical coverage. As all things in life we need to make choices, some people do not feel that healthcare coverage is that important unless someone else pays for it.I pay for my own healthcare and I do not want to pay for someone elses. That's my choice.

I want? Damn right, I want a job for myself and my neighbors so we can tell the government to stuff it. I deserve, yes I do. The right to be free from government. I shout because people like you are happy to live in your bubble and don't see this great proud country being turned into a Banana Republic.As far as doing, I work, pay taxes, and e-mail my representatives weekly. They need to know how I feel about the issues.I also donate my time to sport organizations, community projects and of course the PTA. I have received community awards for my volunteer work. The President probably would call me a Community Organizer. That tittle is crap I call myself a volunteer.

We were the greatest industrial power the world has ever seen. We had a standard of living that was the envy of the world. We stood by quietly and allowed our politicians and business leaders give it all away. We are tired and want our dominance back. Our politicians don't represent our needs. We are Americans and are second class citizens to illegal aliens and the population of the world. Some of us are fighting back and short of a physical revolution we are doing the best we can. If that means shouting to get peoples attention then that's what we will do.

Being a New Yorker and having a "harbor city" it is nice to know that there is a state with the courage to to do what is necessary to protect our laws. For all you people who think that our constitutional rights are being trampled, the police still have to use reasonable suspicion when questioning a person.

Our system does work, we finely caught up with the crooks and they should be prosecuted. If found guilty given a stiff Madoff penalty. Fire the incompetent and fine tune an already good system.

What's important to most Americans,
the US Constitution, education of our youth, substantial employment for all who want to work, quality of life. We don't care about the new world order. Our independent nature make most of us angry when China tells us what to do and we are told that we have to buy health care or they are going to tax "bad food". Our elected official represent us not the world and that we are naive because we really don't care what happened in Europe, but care about New Orleans. Close the borders bring back our jobs and let's remake America into the economic powerhouse that we once were. American Pride

Thank you George for your article on Michele Bachmann. As she has often stated ALL federal employees take an oath to support the US Constitution. It's sad that our government employees including our elected officials and their staff do not take this oath seriously. She is a breath of fresh air in a stale room.
