Roe v Wade, Forty Years After

The euphemism "pro-choice" is a big lie. Over 60% of abortions in the USA are forced or coerced. Do you know that the #1 cause of death of pregnant women in America is murder? We are currently living in one of the most scandalous periods of American history. Planned Parenthood and the left doesn't DARE let the truth get out. Just look at the smear campaign they pulled on Susan G. Komen, and that's an organization that's held in high esteem by the whole society! Check out the stats at theunchoice.com.

EXCELLENT POST, Mike. I have quoted that statistic before, and it drives the pro-death crowd bananas.

You might want to try reading my whole post. I referenced the website at the end. Duh! It an organization known as the Elliot Institute. They have all of the studies and statistics to back-up the claim. Unlike the 'pro-choice' side we have medically verifiable data to bolster out arguments.

Too lazy to do some fact checking yourself? Ah, it is much easier to accuse, using disparaging quotes.

Depending on the time period, murder was reported by various sources as the leading or third leading cause of death among pregnant and post-partum women. Thses reports do need to be taken with a grain of salt, as statistics capturing this data are incomplete, and not consistent from state to state.

Sources other than the one listed by Mike2348 list the percentage of coerced abortions as being as high as 64%. These include pressure from parents, male partners, etc, so the level of coercion may vary. So, perhaps the stat should be for those abortions where the pregnant woman is forced, coerced or pressured.

Seems to me that it doesn’t matter where the coercion comes from. If a woman is being coerced, forced, pressured, or deceived into an abortion then it’s not HER choice. And, after all, that is the rally cry of the left isn’t it– PRO-CHOICE! She should have the RIGHT to control her own reproductive life, without that she is not empowered to live her life on her terms. That was the basic argument of the Roe-vs-Wade decision. According to the statistics, that is clearly NOT what is happening. Even if the stats weren’t almost two out of three – let’s say they’re 1 out of 2, or 1 out of three, or 1 out of 4, I’m curious as to why there isn’t an outcry from the feminists against such an injustice.

Oh and, BTW, I have done the research. I’ve read the various studies, and double-checked the methodologies used. That’s why I’m willing to accept their findings. The Elliot Institute has gathered many and varied studies that were conducted from around the world, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Australia, as well as here in the US. They all come to the same conclusion – the euphemism of ‘pro-choice’ is at the very least an outrageous deception if not a BIG LIE.

The number forty has great significance in the Bible.

Perhaps best known is the forty years that the Israelites were condemned to wander in the desert before being permitted entry into the Promised Land.

Maybe this mystical quantity will bear significance as we note, this month, the fortieth year since the Roe v Wade decision legalized abortion in America.

Forty years we have lived with the silent, and sometimes not so silent, holocaust in our midst as the lives of 55 million innocent and unborn children have been killed, plucked from their journey to enter this world.

Who were they? Who...
