When I was in college, we were attracted to women who didn't shave they armpits. They were thought to be sexually promiscuous. And were!
I keep seeing that there wouldn't have been enough time. How do they know when this was to end? How did anyone see into the future?

My son tells me, and he's real smart, seriously, that if you look at the history of humans you will find, that even with all our problems, world wide we live longer, cleaner, better fed, warmer, and freer than ever before. The worst places to live right now, like North Korea, are better than most of the world only 100 years ago. A 1000 years ago would have been unlivable for any one alive today. The air, the water the land is cleaner than even 50 years ago. Almost half the people in Europe and North America don't have to work to survive. I read an article that compared an American life style to the equivalent of 85 personal servants that would have rivaled the Pharaohs.

NH Poll: Shaheen: 44; Brown: 44

I hate to be ignorant, but when one writes and article about two people, can you somewhere in the article mention their first name along with their last name. That way I know who it is you are writing about and it makes it easier to do a search so I can checkout the accuracy of your article. Not everyone is from Massachusetts or New Hampshire. I was reading about Dan Brown for a long time before I realized the novelist wasn't running for office and Bill Shaheen wasn't the New Hampshire lawyer. Take a tip from the Wall Street Journal. I read an article about forest fire fighters in Oregon. Every name in the article began with Mr Mike Jones or Ms Julie Spade, and then addressed them in the rest the ten column article as Mr Jones and Ms Spade even up until they were both killed by a wild fire. It is called respect. It is President Obama or President Bush. Like them or not, they earned their position.
I get profiled every time I fly. Every time! My wife says it's because I smile and have a good time. I do not joke around. I'm merely pleasant, as is my way.
At the famous tower shooting by Charles Whitman in Austin, Texas, it was 10 to 12 civilians with their hunting rifles holding Whitman at bay while the police closed in. This fact was never broadly made public.
