As for hunger I believe American Christians give more to charities than liberals many times over. And though some of us act like we think we are better people, we aren't any better than anyone else in Gods eyes we are only Christian if we are getting to know him and the one who sent him, love God Love others thats the whole deal, peace.

lets not beat around the "burning Bush" simpleton Christians believe the bible, period. Virgin birth, raised from the dead, living God miracle healing, water to wine,(you gotta like the water to wine bit). And intellectuals all believe that just before there was anything or any time "it all" was contained in a point of singularity and some how it expanded to create everything in the numerically impossible biological astronomical chemical complexity that we can barely understand. Explain to me why no one is even trying to solve the horizon problem anymore or the imbalance of 3rd class star matter to account for the heavy elements we find. We are only hanging on to the big bang until we find something that explains more .

Science (from Latin: scientia meaning "knowledge" ! When Global warming high priests say that the "science is settled" is like saying we "know enough" already. Really?,that sounds more like a teenager than a scientist. Mona, what is it about the theory of evolution that makes good sense to you? Natural selection and survival of the fittest is a good explanation for the variety we see with in each inter breed able species. unless you buy into punctuated equilibrium we should see millions of transitional states in the fossil record and we shouldn't have to see frauds and hoaxes still pictured in almost every illustration of Monkey to man diagrams, where is the integrity of evolution when we still see frauds in our current text books.

People over seas in third world are willing to work for less then we privileged Americans and they are making more than most of their fellow countryman. Its a world full of brothers and sisters why should anyone pay us more to do the same labor just because we are Americans. We all by the cheap stuff when we want to save money its time to compare the way we live to the way they live and stop complaining about poor poor pitiful me. Sell your extra STUFF and get a reasonable sized home an compete.

Don't we all think left a little at first, breaking away from parents and their rules and restrictions, out on our own to do as we want, taste the forbidden fruit, taking a little walk on the wild side, its new its novel, its enticing. But if we are conservative we start to see the sense of conservative values as we become parents and grow up and start to curb our natural worldly fleshy and destructive appetites. And we see the sense of not pouring gasoline on the flames of excessive lifestyles. Many conservatives are labeled hypocrites when they fail to curb the very appetites that shamefully tempt them the most. And they rail against a culture that is saying no its OK join us, its natural, we are just living the way we were born,...

I have to hope that an all powerful all knowing "God knows best" I can't imagine what it would be like to not ever do wrong. To either not see and know right from wrong or be so overcome with conviction that stealing a cookie feels like herding people into gas chambers. I have to have a hope that this life with Christ, this eternal life will help me be more and more aware of the needs of others over the wants of self. Some will say, they can't believe in a God who allows us to be who we decide we will be on the good vs evil scale. At the same time they live here in America like the Rich young ruler, knowing that 80% of the world is in need of just clean drinking water to live, then we have decided to be evil and you can't blame that...
