Most of us won't be affected by this potential retirement change. As it stands right now it is proposed to put a cap of $3 million on 401K plans. But that doesn't mean that things won't change and the threshold is lowered in the future. And even if i accumulated that much money in a 401 i sure wouldn't want Obama or anyone else to tell me how much retirement money is "enough".

usually "savings" is money deposited from income already taxed whereas 401 money has been tax deferred (including your $5000 set aside).

So making abortion illegal won’t stop abortion? Does that work for guns too?

You can pretty much count on it. Nevada has suffered a marked increase in “Progressive” ideas and voting habits since gaining many transplants from Kalifornia.

"Mr DeMint has been a senator for barely over one term." his first term was for six years and he was a Congressman for another six years... that is 12 years of service to his state. .It might be a good tactic for Congress to become a breeding ground for conservatives who'd serve for a decade or so then move on to the private sector in positions of conservative power and be replaced by another conservative to fill out the term of the departed. This would certainly build the entire Conservative Movement and provide balance in both public and private sectors.
The Obama campaign offices in the major cities remained open after the 2008 election and began immediately to focus on the 2012 election. It is tough to beat an opponent who has that big a head start.
Unfortunately too many Americans are naïve enough to believe that the President they elected will play by the rules (Constitution). This President uses the Constitution as a club not as a template of freedom.
salient points all, but in truth the Obama Administration will still be in power during and after the "intentional recession" and will use the resultant weakness induced by the recession to further move America toward permanent leftist positions. Some feel that this has been his ongoing goal throughout his first term and now that he has gained a second term he is set to initiate the final plan, blame the Republicans, and achieve his goal of Progressive domination.
