Obama's Health Care Plan Can Be Defeated

Who exactly is calling for coverage of hair transplants, Phyllis? Give me a break. Oh no, the scary government bureaucrats will administer a public insurance plan. As opposed to the insurance company bureaucrats, who are accountable to no one, denying coverage for every procedure as a matter of policy? The same insurance companies that run effective monopolies in many regions of the country?

How are you holding up financially, Phyllis? I'm guessing you've never had to haggle with one of those blessed free-market insurance companies.

Interesting column. You fail to address the merits of the argument, instead falling back on the tried and true reactionary strategy of demonizing him because of his political affiliations.

I'm glad you're doing well Brent. Of course, you were born into it weren't you? So, naturally, you have no plan to fix the health care system in this country, do you? Maybe a tax credit here or there to subsidize the insurance industry, but that's about it. Or, more than likely, you'd prefer to do nothing. Your family connections and the rubber-chicken circuit pay quite nicely, don't they?

Now, why don't you ask some of these hapless Canadians, French or British if they want to give up their health-care systems? They'd laugh hysterically...

So well that many insurance companies have effective monopolies in parts of this country. It must be because their beneficiaries are just so super-satisfied with their coverage.
