It was the RINOs who were calling for him to vacate. They didn't want nor elect him in the first place. The "grass roots" were not calling for him to leave. I didn't happen to vote for him in the primary, but I will in the general election.

BTW, the people the RINOs were suggesting to take his place weren't even in the primary. If they had suggested #2 in the primary, I might have gone along with them.

That's exactly what I thought, and every other Republican I talked to here in MO. If Akin had to come off the ballot, they should have at least given us the choice of primary candidates.
