Yep, there was one used in a murder.... by a cop.
Mike, I live in IL; Federal court ordered the State to have CCW by June or the state goes Constitutional Carry. Chicagoland mobsters.. oops, politicians (distinction without a difference) are trying VERY hard to make it VERY hard to actually carry... but I agree with your point about IL gunmakers leaving. Les Baer went to IA; there are about a half-dozen manufacturers within 30 miles of each other in Geneseo, Milan areas, a half-hour from my home.
Colt's isn't the only manufacturer in a gun-unfriendly state. Mossberg is in CT; I believe Marlin is as well. Illinois lost Les Baer to IA; there's still Armalite, Springfield Armory, Rock River Arms, LMT, and others within 30 miles of each other.... and 40 miles from where I sit in Galesburg, IL. It seems odd that the States that were our originally our Colonies are among the worst offenders, with the Southern exceptions. Remington in NY, S&W in MA, etc.
DO NOT cooperate with any governmental agencies' inquiries; what they find will be with the intent on how it can be used against you. DEMAND a warrant, whether for a car search, home visit, whatever. If a law-enforcement or socail services can get a foot in your door, you've "invited" them in. Any conversation takes place on the porch.
One reason we give a "pass" to governmental agencies is that ultimately, they have the power of force, and limitless financial resources to pursue and vilify individuals all while hiding behind vague laws, as well as the protective veil of being all-knowing. That anyone is on a sex-offender registry is incomprehensible, but you can't stop them. That will affect employment and other life decisions forever.

It's not about drones

This President has no concern for individual rights; his concern is for the collective and himself. The order of priorites switches to suit his whim.
Somehow Waco, TX keeps coming to mind when i think of drone strikes in the U.S.... you know, when you have a rogue agency that must justify its existence, another fabulous tool in the toolbox. The fact that so many innocents died is simply unfortunate... or simply "TOO bad for the pals of the target."
Fill McCain and Graham's inboxes with emails. Maybe they'll begin to see that there is a point past which we should NOT go. Is Rand Paul absolutely perfect in every way? No, he's human-- but he had the intestinal fortitude to stand (literally) on principle, something seen all too rarely. He is not the problem; the old guard is.

How to Beat OPEC

Mick135 Wrote: Mar 08, 2013 5:48 PM
OPEC..... as I recall, that is the Organizition of Petroleum Exporting Countries, not to be confused with the rest of us.... the Organization of Fuel Using Countries. Catalogued under "Memories of the '70's"
There is a truism that states "The Constitution says whatever 5 people in black robes say it says". Looks like they easily cleared that hurdle.
So the Bullies with Badges club has yet another opportunity to find a weed seed the previous owner of my used car left in a crack. Unlimited power, unlimited authority, unlimited period. In IL here, it's illegal to videotape/record a police officer performing his duties-- felony.
