You're putting words in my mouth -- nowhere in my post does it say Obama had anything to do with Boehner being chosen as Speaker.... nowhere does it say he has power to start a civil war in the Republican-led House. All that I implied was that Obama is probably filled with glee watching the House Republicans fight among themselves. If the House Republicans can't speak with one voice it plays right into Obama's hands. Now, rather than spewing more blather, try answering my original question. Here it is again: How long do you think that person (an ultra conservative) could hold a coalition together, considering that there's a bunch of "moderate-conservative" members to deal with?

This past week, he removed three conservative Republican Congressmen from their committee positions in retaliation for not voting for his compromises on the budget with Democrats – compromises that led us to the current “fiscal cliff.” Rep.
