I have heard Obama say time and time again that he respects the 2nd Amendment. And I believe him.... he "respects" the 2nd Amendment. Being the wordsmith that he is, he uses "respect" as a weasil word to make us think he favors gun rights. You will never hear him say that he "supports" the 2nd Amendment, only that he "respects" it. Big difference between "respect" and "support." General Patton respected General Romel, but he certainly didn't support him. If Obama thought he could get away with it he would abolish the 2nd Amendment by executive order.
Firearms manufacturers usually find themselves playing defense. Following virtually every highly publicized incident involving a multiple shooting, manufactures often are among the first round of scapegoats flogged by the mainstream media and gun-control politicians. Indeed, were it not for the 2005 law that protects gun manufactures from frivolous lawsuits by victims of gun crimes, many would be out of business.
