I agree with Dr. Sowell. As a physician, there is no economic competition between doctors that drives the healthcare market. With no competition, there is no incentive to provide better quality care at a lower cost. If insurance companies are the cause, then only provide major medical and catastrophic caoverage. This would lower the cost of premiums, people would then "comparison shop" their health care to get the best for the appropriate cost.
