A large problem arises when you remember that there is no way to know who ins on the "no-fly list" or how they got there until they actually try to fly. The story of the 4 year old girl who wound up on the list should be telling. If the DHS can stick anyone on it with a "guilty until proven innocent" methodology, and your logic of "if they can't fly, they shouldn't be allowed guns" becomes accepted, then the 2nd amendment becomes moot. Particularly if the DHS decrees a potential threat from those right-wing extremists clinging to their guns & religion.

As None alluded to, why do people enter the country illegally? For a better life. So if the current administration can just destroy the economy enough, the US will no longer be a land of opportunity and people will begin emigrating away instead of immigrating in. Brilliant, isn't it?

If it was "tossed out" why is it still there and active and trained on?? It may have been tossed out in state laws, but it has never been "tossed out" of the UCMJ. I agree that it's stupid & should be removed, but it should actually be removed, not just ignored.

Having served in the Navy, I know of several gay/lesbian personnel who served honorably and quietly. I also know of several gay/lesbian persons not in the service who would join and not be quiet. Right now we spend a whole lot of time dealing with sex/sexual politics/sexual harrasment issues. Hours upon hours of training and standdowns and questionaires. Too bad we can't keep the "I won't ask, you won't tell" part and just not discharge people. I don't want to hear about your hot date last night with him or her. Another thing often ignored is that the Uniform Code of Military Justice (UCMJ) would have to change as well. Article 125 prohibits any "Unnatural Carnal Copulation" which includes almost any homosexual behavior beyond holding...

I don't think Oliver Stone is trying to make a totalitarian takeover of the US more appealing as much as he, and many others in Hollywood, want to make Israel go away. So by showing some imaginary "vast Jewish conspiracy" and that A.H. was just a poor misunderstood painter who just wanted to make the world a better place, he is trying to shift opinion against the State of Israel.
