This scorced earth technique of the Republican elites to herd us toward candidates of their choosing, in this case - Romney - has become so blatantly obvious, and dangerous, a manipulation, that it very well may turn-off and drive away conservatives from the republican party, and from participation in the political process altogether. Sarah Palin, Sharon Angle, Christine O'Donnell, Michelle Bachmann, Herman Cain and now Newt Gingrich, all savaged, politically, ideologiclly and personally, and not just by the leftist MSM, but by people supposedly on the same team, the right. It's fine to disagree with candidates, but the personal savaging has to stop. We get enough of that from the left already.

I have been wearying of Medved for some years. He wants to battle liberal howitzers with very mannerly peashooters. When, early in the Obama administration, Rush Limbuagh said that if Obama's policies led to a lessening of American liberty he hoped Obama failed, Medved was one of the loud "conservatives" to speak out against Limbaugh. What Medved was not prescient enough to see was that Rush was planting an early seed that clearly has grown into a very tall tree. Please find me a "conservative," even Medved, who still wants Obama's policies to succeed. Medved just doesn't get, and seemingly cannot grasp, that you cannot throw marshmellows at a tank and expect to win a war.
Obama's ineptitude in foreign policy has less to do with his lack of experience and more to do with a lack of respect and regard for his own country, He truly believe that America is the guilty party in the world and acts like it,
