I get that, and as I said, I would be fighting Obamacare as well if I was a US citizen.

But my point is shouldn't the Republicans also be presenting an alternate system since the current system seems to be broken?

A good alternative is the AU setup.

But why don't you just copy the Australian system? I don't know the ins and outs of Obamacare but as a Christian surely health care for the vulnerable is a good thing.

The Australian system is

a) Universal - no opt outs.
b) Isn't driving AU into debt.
c) Doesn't stifle competition or eliminate private cover.
d) Its not linked to your job.
e) Has a proven track record (around for 20 years).

Just a thought. And one point Obamacare is NOT universal health care. The Australian Medicare system is universal since there is no OPT out.

The AU system is not perfect but it seems superior to the fascist type system in the UK or to the heaving mess that is the current US health system. Not that Obamacare...
