No. No to pretty much all points besides the lateness of the convention. Romney was not an appealing candidate. Romney couldn't be firmly pinned down on anything, and spent the entire time trying to define himself and solidify his platform, which basically just became, "I'll fix the economy." That doesn't motivate people to vote for him, when they aren't sure of who he is, what he stands for, or what he'll do as president. Republicans need a candidate that has high consistency between his stated positions and his voting, that has a compelling story & is charismatic. I'm looking at you, Rubio and Jindal. I would love Perry, but unfortunately, he can't debate himself out of paying for someone else's bill...
