Conservatives and Gays

Prager *almost* nails it. Conservative gays *should* (and usually are) welcomed in the Republican Party. What he misses is that conservative same-sex marriage activists should *also* be welcomed.

The Lights of Perverted Science

The Dover case clearly showed that ID is simply creationism in disguise; and that under either name, it is NOT science. When lacking data or evidence for one's belief, it is NOT science to throw one's hands up and say "Oh, I guess God did it!" Evolution has been so thoroughly supported by evidence as to be practically bullet-proof. Much like Newtonian physics, it may not be the complete picture (as Newtonian physics doesn't work at the quantum level), but it is extremely solid for every test it has had. Mr. Baisley is not presenting a novel "think outside the box" opinion. He is simply neglecting scientific evidence.
Dan Savage is a horrible person who goes out of his way to be rude and offensive. However, in his out-of-place and rude rantings, he does have some valid points, and Michael Brown is considerate in recognizing and responding to those points. The Christianity side of the debate definitely scores big points for civility, respect, and decent humanity! However, while Mr. Brown makes good arguments, I cannot agree with his overall conclusions. One basic point that I believe most people will agree with: The vast majority of Christians are generally good people whose faith helps them in their efforts to be good people. Unfortunately, in my opinion, the Bible gets in the way of this.

Wrong!
So... "Go ahead and gang rape my virgin daughters" is supposed to be an honorable action?!?!? Anybody who could believe that has mental problems.
