Listening to a Liar: Part II

In the South, there aren't many real liars. It is considered one of the worst things a person can do and few do it because they become shunned when caught. If dealing in business in the South, millions of dollars worth of goods are bought and sold on someone's word over the telephone.

In the North, it is a standard feature of business. The only way to get what you want is to have an iron-clad contract. And Obama is from Chicago where people are particularly bad at lying. When caught, they simply smile and say, "But everyone does it!" Then they expect you to believe the next lie.

To be one, you have to think logically. If a part breaks, what causes it to break? Why did it break in that particular place? What could have been the reason for it?

The problem is that to me, as an engineer required to think critically, I am horrified at what Obama and crew are saying and doing. They don't even come close to matching. And yet their followers never seem able to see through their retoric and believe ever word they say.

For instance, he claimed that he "saved or created" one million jobs. Considering that we lost about 15 million due to his actions, one million (if they truly exist) is a drop in the bucket. It reminds me of a speech I once heard Clinton make about NAFTA jobs. At the time we gained...

ACORN Exposed: Stealing Democracy

It may be the job of community organizers to help the people, but it is NOT their job to commit crimes, which they do regularly. If they can't do their job without committing crimes then either the laws need to be changed or they need to go to jail. We can't have people getting by on committing crimes and others having to go to jail for doing the same thing.

ACORN Exposed: Stealing Democracy

I can remember ACORN back in the 70's in Arkanasas. They may insist they are younger than that, but they were quite busy then. One of their favorite tactics was to register a lot of fake or dead people to vote. Then they would hire people (usually elderly or minorities) and bus them to poling places. They would hand the people voter registration sheets as they got off the bus and they would go in to vote. Then off to another poling place and new voter registration cards. They could easily cover a dozen poling places a day with new cards at each site. When they were caught, nothing happened.

Further they were always in the news arguing about criminals. Two thieves were shot by the police when caught loading a semi with...

This president and his team of fellow Alinskyites are not particularly into governance. They can only dawdle, hyperventilate and scapegoat over the Gulf oil spill. They can only form fiscal commissions and make speeches about our accelerating fiscal crisis.

THEY ALSO TRY TO BRIBE THE PEOPLE. He will be expecting all these seniors to be so impressed with the checks that they will totally forget all the other stuff in the bill. after all acrding to the laws of Chicago politics everyone wants to be bribed and a senior who gets $250 "free" dollars can hardly help but be impressed. Right?
I don't think that the liberals have a mind. Several psychologists insist that liberalism is a mental problem since they live in a fantasy world. All I know is that they get theories aboiut different things and no logic or real life is going to change that.

They revern those like Che or Stalin and hate anything we do Come simply cannot get around a conservative at all. They fear us. They fear the military since they are certain that anyone willing to put his life at risk is a potential murderer who joined simply to kill someone. They are convinced all our military wants to do is get into a war somewhere - yet more wars are started by the libs than by conservatives since they use it to get the people's attention on the war...

... no one was talking about reconciliation, he wasn't talking about the fact that everyone had talked about it; he was saying that no one was to talk about it on the television program.

You just misunderstood.

You can bet that with four liberals on the court it will be a close call if they do.

Taxpayer Cash for Clunker Ideas

You are missing the liberal point. This isn't taxpayer money - it is free money from the government! There is a big difference. All money, after all, belongs to the government since they print it. You are only loaned a little of it until they need it back.
I was upset with the AARP some years ago when they threw the members under the bus to get votes for some environmental proposal that the President of the AARP wanted. None of them were retirees at that time and as far as I can tell still aren't. They are supposed to represent the retired people but instead push their own agenda and assure Congress that the retired people will approve of it - even if it harms the retired people as this program will.

I have not joined this leftist group and will not as long as they continue to hoodwink the retired people into believing that they actually work for the good of those who pay them. Considering that I get a request to join them about twice a month, they must not get the reasoning....
