It's scary that people living in one of the safest times on Earth, in one of the safest nations on Earth, protected by oceans and hundreds of thousands of armed guards, soldiers, police, drones, missiles, ships, you name it, feel like they might be set upon at any moment if they dont' have a cocked .45 within reach. The politicians have whipped the population into a state of paranoia as if they are at Concord and the British regiments are coming to attack the town in two hours. If you can't feel safe here and now, when can you be safe? How can you live life in this state of fear?

"It's scary that people living in one of the safest times on Earth..."

Yes, some of these people like Giles sure act like cowards.

The state of fear will come when those guards, soldiers and police as well as the criminals are knocking down their doors and taking away their God given rights. They now know that over 30,000 concentration camps existed under Hitler and his fascist regime, yet the unarmed citizenry pretended to not know what was happening. We are not in a state of fear with a cockable 45 within our reach.

That is one of most idiotic posts I've ever read on TH. Nobody has "whipped" anyone into a frenzy - but the anti-gun people are certainly doing their best to try. Anyone CAN be set upon at any moment and there's nothing wrong with having legal protection in case it happens.

It's not "fear" dimwit - it's acknowledgement of the reality that we live in violent, dangerous world.

According to CBS, St. Louis, Pastor Rodney Francis, of the Washington Tabernacle Baptist Church, wants to keep kiddos away from guns, so this summer his church is planning a “toy gun buy back” program. How quaint. I kid you not: A. Toy. Gun. Buy. Back. Sounds like he’s setting up the next generation to be victimized slaves to bad people and policies.

Yep, Reverend Rodney “feels” he needs to do “everything (he) can to not allow our kids to get exposed to (guns) too early.” Aww ... ain’t that sweet? Hey, maybe he could also hand out during that...
