I think it is safe to say the tax code is in need of reform. But what reform? VAT, Fairtax and who knows what other forms of reform is out there. Paul Ryan seems to be committed to the VAT, which would seem to be in opposition to the Fairtax idea. It looks like Paul Ryan is shaping up to be a candidate to run for president in 2012. At this time I would chance saying he will be the republican party choice, but 2012 is a life time away, in political time. Because of this possibility the vetting process should beging now, in a TownHall way. Paul Rayn's commitment to the VAL when many are outspokenly against it, supporting the Fairtax idea, we need to know everything possible about who could be our next president. The more we know...

Arguing the meaning of free speech is in itself a testament to its purpose. However, I believe it would be safe to say the term is not an absolute value. Freedom of speech comes with consequences and requires responsibility. I believe freedom of speech is only acceptable when its product is a truth. Do we have the freedom to tell a lie? Try that in a court of law and you go to jail. It's called perjury, a consequence of irresponsible use of Freedom of Speech. Freedom of Speech doesn't have a requirement to be correct.
