You pretty much nailed it in few words.

And Lilly, I didn't have a problem with your first 2 points. Sorry, but that distaste for too much gov't is replete throughout our founding constitution. Give it a read sometime. So expect people to get upset about the ever-growing, ever more voracious for your tax dollars to mismanage, Federal Gov't. That's a fundamental part of being an American...empowering the individual and the state, over the Federal Gov't.

As for the racist remarks. Clearly there are ignorant folks on both sides, and that is sad. Personally denigrating remarks have no place here and I can assure you that most of us disagree with ideology of irresponsible spending and insidious Gov't expansion alone....
The venom that erupts from some of these classless folks against Glenn Beck is kind of pathetic. It's hard for me to stomach Keith Olbermann, but I will still 'listen' to opposing views objectively (I would listen more, but it does get old quick when there's just not much substance). Occasionally, outside of his mostly misleading and miss-correlated statements, I will actually find something that I agree with too! What I don't understand is the need to spew such hatred.
Sadly, it says much more about the intellectual infancy of some of the commenters here than Glenn Beck. The article is on the performance, so if you wouldn't even see it in the first place, why comment at all? Grow up a little. Get a life.

For those of us who are just as tired of Republicans as radical Left wingers, this is huge and sends a message to both parties that desperately needed sent! We're tired of two bad choices from which to select from! I'm a very socially liberal person, but amidst all the divisive arguing Americans do now, we simply need to get back to our constitutional foundation of 'limited government'. This benefits ALL Americans, it's what made us American's to begin with.
Let me guess, you're one of those Fox-bashers that don't actually watch? As hard as it is for me to stomach, I do actually watch 'opposing views'. Anyway, if you did watch Beck (especially yesterday with a whole audience filled with black conservatives who reject the idea that they are being 'helped' by mindless social programs rather than 'enslaved' by them, as all of us are... and amazingly who also suffer the same racists attacks by people like Janeane Garofalo for being conservative!)... Anyway, I digress, If you actually watched him, you would see there is nothing racist about him (I'll give you that he definitely reflects some of the well-justified anger MANY of us have with our reckless and irresponsible Gov't though). He is a...
...'hard for me to stomach' referred to Rachel and Keith specifically, since they twist, manufacture and miscorrelate information as a mainstay of their 'shows'. I not only genuinely appreciate, but can certainly be swayed by 'opposing views' that use logic, reason and good sense, no matter who they come from. Just wanted to clarify the context, since I didn't catch my mistake before I posted.
You guys are right on the money. The left has to keep perpetuating the 'big, evil, greedy' notion, to further their 'big, evil, control your life' mission (nevermind that Wall street firms like Goldman Sachs for example, contributed 4 dollars to Dems for every 1 dollar to Repubs in the 2008 election). In any case, I think most agree that BOTH parties need a serious shake up. They are simply not working for the general population. I really hope all of us, Libs and Conservatives alike, really stand up and act like the patriots our founders were to shake them both up in 2010 and get us back to "by the people, for the people". I'm encouraged that many of my Democratic friends are just as fed up, so I do believe we are at the "straw that...
This is what representation was always meant to be. Not the arrogant career-politicians we got stuck with via our complacency and indifference. The one thing I THANK the Obama administration for is "waking America up" with the not-so-subtle overreaches and power grabs in their now famous Mantra of "capitalizing on crisis". No Thanks, keep the change. I also wish I could vote for Mr. Turner. I have seen Wiener constantly appear on talk shows and say absolutely nothing of substance. Not impressed. (Mostly Olbermann, of course, but the O'Reilly interview highlighted his incompetence very well), All I can say is: Go Bob! where do I send the check?

...all excellent points John. And as ultra-liberals are not 'big-picture' thinkers, lets remind them of another huge argument in my opinion. Literally tens of Millions people were killed via Genocide in the 20th century. Thankfully, our forefathers made that a virtually impossible nightmare to perpetrate on Americans. Not as likely a scenario for an armed population. Let's keep it that way. Be VERY afraid when leftist nuts like Chuck Schumer, and the subjects in your article, seek to disarm the population. It takes very little intellect to understand the magnitude of our very precious and hard won rights. Again, don't let these out-of-touch buffoons like Schumer, slowly chip them away with their extremely flawed reasoning.

I really hope American's will start to wake up and see the obvious. I immediately get labeled as a right-wing whacko just for observing the annihilation of our constitution and Founding Father's vision, and more catastrophically, our children's future. I pray people wise up and start to make a little more noise. Thank God for Fox and guys like you Chuck! :-)
