There is absolutly no hard evidence that suggests legalizing an easy to come by substance increases how much it is used, of course there would be those that previously abstained because it was illegal that would try it legally; but that is not the personality type that becomes an addict... an addict would seek out the chemical or habbit regaurdless of its legallity. I am a conservative, a CONSTITUTIONAL conservative. legalization of drugs across the board is silly, but legalization of cannabis should be considered if and only if there is a ballenced budget ammendment passed

As our focus continues to be on the violence in the Middle East, it is also important to pay attention to what is going on just south of our own border in Mexico. The war between the Mexican government and drug cartels is still raging with the war's latest victim being female Mayor Maria Santos Gorrostieta, who was beaten, burned, tortured and dumped for dead on the side of the road. Before being killed, Gorrostieta had been attacked twice by cartels for daring to challenge them. The third attack they waged on her, was her last.
